he Chilliwack Hospice Society is pleased to announce that we are hosting a four-part community education series called Completing the Circle: Body, Mind, Heart & Spirit that will focus on and explore the guiding principles of hospice palliative care - a "philosophy of care" that embraces the physical, mental, intellectual, spiritual, financial and social well-being of the individuals and families that we serve.

We are launching this series on Friday, September 14, 2012 with "Your Choice, Your Life: Having Conversations About End-of-Life Wishes" a workshop about Advance Care Planning. We hope this workshop will be starting point for people to have conversations with each other about planning for their future healthcare goals & wishes.

  • Discuss the provincial "My Voice" guide and legal aspects related to advance care

  • Learn when and how to initiate advance care planning conversation with family & friends
