Six
Five-Dollar Fest Flicks
Chilliwack Film Fest returns
with a great lineup

film series time in Chilliwack this Spring, as we bring in six internationally
acclaimed films. The Chilliwack Arts Council and The Toronto Film Festival
Circuit co-present the 2010 Chilliwack Arts Council International Film Series:
starting September 29, October 6, 13, 20, 27
and November 3. Ticket prices are $5.00 per screening. A Series pass for all 6
films will be available from the Arts Council as a convenience to those who do
not wish to stand in line for tickets, and who want to see all six shows. This
is always a popular event so get there early for your tickets!
All movies start 7:00 pm at the
historic Paramount Theatre, 46187 Yale Road. Chilliwack.

29:
Get Low USA/ Germany/ Poland [PG-13] Drama.
English. 100 min. A movie spun out of equal parts folk tale, fable and
real-life legend about the mysterious, 1930s Tennessee hermit who famously threw
his own rollicking funeral party... while he was still alive. Starring Robert
Duvall, Sissy Spacek and Bill Murray. IMDB rating 7.6 after 1034 votes.

Mao’s Last Dancer Australia
2009 [PG13] Drama. English/ Mandarin ~ 117 min. A drama
based on the autobiography by Li Cunxin. At the age of 11, Li was plucked from a
poor Chinese village by Madame Mao's cultural delegates and taken to Beijing to
study ballet. In 1979, during a cultural exchange to Texas, he fell in love with
an American woman. Two years later, he managed to defect and went on to perform
as a principal dancer for the Houston Ballet and as a principal artist with the
Australian Ballet. Starring Bruce Greenwood, Kyle MacLachlan and Joan Chen. IMDB
rating 7.2 after 1200 votes.
