all Chilliwack artists! The City of Chilliwack is now accepting entries for our
2010 Christmas card contest. The winning design will receive $250 and be used as
the Mayor and Councils' Christmas card this holiday season. The winning entry
will be announced at the November 7, 2010 Council meeting at 7 pm.
"We always look forward to this contest at City Hall," said Mayor Sharon Gaetz. "It's amazing to see the beautiful work submitted by the many talented artists we have in our community."
The theme for entries this year is 'Christmas in Chilliwack' and the contest is open to all ages. Artists must reside in the City of Chilliwack in order to be eligible for the contest. All submissions will be juried by City Hall Administration. The top 10 submissions will be selected and displayed at City Hall from Wednesday, October 6 until Wednesday, October 13. The public will have a chance to vote for their favourite submission of the top 10 during that time period at City Hall. One of last year's Christmas card contest entries.
Submission forms with a complete list of rules will be available online August 31 at www.chilliwack.com or can be picked up at City Hall reception.
All submissions must be received at City Hall no later than Friday, October 1, 2010 at 4:30 pm.
There is no word on whether any of the cards will be on public display.
