A first responder assists paramedics after a woman was hit by a vehicle Thursday.

ust after 7 p.m. on Thursday, on rain-slick roads, a 20-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle at College St. at Henderson Ave.

BC Ambulance Service and first responders were on the scene within minutes and stabilized the unfortunate woman before taking her to hospital.

Now that it's getting dark early, pedestrians have to be extra careful and shouldn't assume that they can be seen by drivers, especially when wearing dark clothing on a rainy night.

Please be careful out there.
