ump, set, spike it! This Christmas morning there’s going to be a lot of kids gathered around their trees in wide-eyed wonderment thanks to the efforts of hundreds of great people involved in the 27th Annual CATT (Chilliwack Athletes for Toys for Tots) Fund Volleyball Tournament put on by the Mt Cheam Rotary Club.

Thirty-four teams, consisting of over 100 players, bounced, bopped and bobbled their way through two days of volleyball at the Landing Sports Centre last weekend to raise an astounding $24,000 and 370 toys for Chilliwack Community Services Christmas programs.

There were lots of familiar faces around the gym including Desmond Devnich, who welcomed players and stacked all the toys as they came in, and RCMP Cpl. Len vanNieuwenhuizen was also seen on the court.

Trophies were awarded to finalists.

Over the last 25 years, The CATT Fund has donated more than 10,000 toys and $215,000 to the Chilliwack Community Services.
