Crash involving pole sends two to hospital

First responders attend to accident victims on Yale Road Friday morning.

 

two-car collision in the 45000 block of Yale Rd. just after 8 a.m. Friday sent two people to hospital with undetermined injuries. The force of t hecrash caused one of the vehicles to hit a hydro pole, briefly knocking out power to homes in the area.

First responders and BC Ambulance Services paramedics placed the victims on spine boards before taking them to hospital.

It's not clear if this was the case, but drivers travelling north on Yale Road sometimes cause hazardous situations in traffic while turning left across the double line into Tim Hortons as they come off the overpass.

According to ICBC Crash Maps, there have been 58 MVA's at Yale Road and Alexander Ave. since 2008.
