"The BIA is proud of the quality of floats that are produced and says, “it shows a great level of giving back to Chilliwack with the creativity, financial commitment and participation of so many from this community and from as far away as Langley.”

An application package is available on our website www.downtownchilliwack.com  and can also be picked up at the BIA office, 9349 Young Road.

Leanne Adderley, volunteer Parade Chairperson has lined up pre-parade entertainment and is excited about the event which will start at Five Corners shortly after 6:00.

“The Honor Choir, consisting of forty school children grade 4-6 from Highroads Academy, are willing to warm us with their musical talent and we are also thrilled to have a performance from two of Chilliwack’s own upcoming soul musicians Brook Potter and Rachel Grange."

"She reminds us again, that this year, through the generous financial support of our corporate sponsor Chilliwack Ford and a grant from the City of Chilliwack we are able to host this exciting event."

Jessica Clark, Parade Coordinator wants to remind parade watchers they bring in a non-perishable food item, including hats and gloves.

"We will be continuing this tradition with assistance from the staff of the Chilliwack Fire Department, Chilliwack Ford and Hub Barton Insurance who will be following the fire truck collecting these much needed items," said Clark.

This year the Salvation Army and Crossroad Community Church will be providing hotdogs and hot chocolate to the parade float participants.

"We also have many other community groups and churches that will be at various locations along the parade route giving out free beverages," said Funk.

The parade will be marshaled at 7:00p.m. from Evergreen Hall.
