Blanketing The City

1st annual event proves to be a winner

Submitted by Derek Burbidge

he Blanket Drive exceeded any and every expectation we had. The support from Chilliwack was overwhelming, blankets, pillows, sleeping bags, sweaters, jackets, gloves, toques, home-made toques and more, we were blown away by the support.

Langley and Abbotsford also had a huge out pouring of  support, people even brought hot chocolate, coffee and even chicken noodle soup which was very appreciated since we were braving the elements for 6 hours.

This was the first event put on by 'Jeremiah's Plan' and it won't be the last. It was a huge success and up next we will doing a video for our adoption campaign, raising awareness for adoption and the love and care every child gets as well as the mother pre and post adoption.

As for doing more drives, we will be thinking about that in the near future and all the info of everything we do will be posted on our website at www.JeremiahsPlan.com  and on our Facebook page. We really want to thank every single person that came out! You really will not know in this lifetime how much your donation helped.
