Ryder Lake Grape

It's a Neighbourly Thing to do

Garden clean- up, pot luck fundraiser, kids club event

Peter Whitlock, RLFI

he Ryder Lake Farmers' Institute set Thursday morning 10am May 18 for the annual Ryder Lake Hall garden clean-up event. Anyone willing to help is welcome. Bring your own tools, wheelbarrow etc and spend a hour getting the gardens around the Hall ready for summer and the Ryder Lake Ramble June 10 & 11.

We are taking down some trees so there will be some help needed to remove these.

ALSO: Mark your calendar - there will be a community pot luck dinner on Thursday May 18 at 6pm. Further details will be provided later today. We will be discussing how the community can help Conrad and Louise who lost everything in a house fire last week.

Ryder Lake Kids Club is hosting an event for the ENTIRE COMMUNITY of Ryder Lake on Thursday May 18th at 6pm.

This is a Community Potluck and tour of the Ryder Lake Firehall. We will have a donation pot for Louise and Conrad on Extrom Road who lost their home in a fire last week. Show your support! Get to know your neighbours!

Bring a dish of your choosing and hang out. We have ordered nice weather so we are hoping to have a couple of propane fire pits out and the kids can play in the park. Bring your camp chairs if you think you will sit outside after dinner.

P.S. The next day is a District-wide professional day so kids don't have school.

Hope to see you all out!

Ryder Lake Hall is located at:  49265 Elkview Road
