Brown Joins Team

Despite a physiotherapist shortage, Huskers have theirs

Rod Hudson, Chilliwack Huskers

M Moe Agagnier announced this week that Jeff Brown will be handling the responsibilities of Team Physiotherapist for the upcoming 2017 season.

At a recent board meeting GM Agagnier stressed the importance of safety and having Jeff on side adds tremendously to the team in that regard. “Recognising and treating injuries in a high contact sport such as junior football is of the upmost importance when developing young players as we do.

Jeff has all of the qualifications required and came highly recommended to the club” he stated. Management is very pleased with the appointment.

Jeff graduated from UBC in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Genetics. In 2013 he graduated from UBC with his Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy.

He has additional training in Functional Dry Needling; he has completed all levels of the Manual and Manipulative Therapy Division for physiotherapy, and has completed athletic taping workshops. Jeff has worked with athletes as a member of the healthcare and rehab teams in Vancouver, Delta, Abbotsford, and now Chilliwack.

Jeff owns and operates his private practice physiotherapy clinic (Jeff Brown Physiotherapy) in Chilliwack working with sports and orthopaedic injuries and rehab.

The Huskers are always in search of assistance in assembling the “off field team” including billet families and game day volunteers.
