Chilliwack dentist Dr. Erik Hutton honoured by the College of Dental Surgeons

hilliwack dentist Dr. Erik Hutton was honoured with a Distinguished Service Award at the College of Dental Surgeons of BC’s annual awards ceremony on March 9 in Vancouver.

 

This award is presented to individuals who have made outstanding and broad contributions to CDSBC over an extended period of time. Dr. Hutton has been a volunteer with the College for over 20 years. He served the CDSBC Board as both a member and Board Officer. He served as treasurer from 2012 to 2014 and vice-president from 2014 to 2016. He is a former member of the Discipline Committee and former chair of the Governance Committee.

 

Dr. Hutton’s contributions have gained him much respect with committee and board members. He continues to serve as a member of the Inquiry Committee and the Finance and Audit Working Group.

 

In addition to his work with the College, Dr. Hutton generously gives his time to different organizations. He was the president of the Fraser Valley Dental Society and has been a Rotarian for over 20 years. 

 

Dr. Hutton was born and raised in Chilliwack, where his father practised dentistry for 44 years. He received his dental degree from UBC in 1983 and has practised dentistry in Chilliwack ever since.
