Heritage Singers perform at the Lynnwood last week.

n March 2007, the Chilliwack Heritage singers were recognized by the City with the Heartfelt Volunteer Award. Here it is March 2013 and and they're still singing as strong throughout the community.

The Voice caught them in action at the Lynnwood Retirement Residences last week.

The Heritage Singers are a group of 41 local seniors who perform weekly programs for “shut-ins” at various retirement and seniors

facilities in the Chilliwack area. In 2005, they performed 68 times in local facilities and at funerals. The grop finally realised their talent on a 2007 CD release.

They donate their time and talent without compensation—and for that, Chilliwack is a better place.
