Fraser Valley Regional Library and the Chilliwack Learning Community Society are
very pleased to inform you that there are spaces available for a Sat. March 19th
(morning) Conversation Circle Facilitator Training session. This free training
is for any adult in Chilliwack who:
Has been trained as a volunteer tutor, or
Wishes to become a volunteer tutor, or
Would like to participate as a
volunteer in an existing
Conversation Circle, or
Has an interest in establishing a
new Conversation Circle with ESL
learners somewhere in the community
A Conversation Circle is an English
language pronunciation practice group for people learning English as a second or
additional language. Conversation Circles are fun, lively and packed with lots
of activity and practice. They
are a perfect program for immigrants in the community who wish to improve their
conversational skills.
The 3 hour (9:00 a.m. - noon) training session will take place at the Chilliwack
library, and will include exercises, games, topics of discussion, resource
materials, and practice, to enable participants to plan and facilitate
Conversation Circles.
Please register by sending your name and contact information to Annette
Williams, Chilliwack Learning Community Society Assistant
here.
