ity of Chilliwack Emergency Operations program officials have issued an evacuation alert for residents living on properties located outside of the City's dyke system. An evacuation alert means that residents in this defined area should be prepared to leave on short notice.

The BC River Forecast Centre has projected flows for the Fraser River to increase to 12,000 to 13,000 m3/s at Hope, with equivalent water levels of 6.5 to 7, anticipated at Mission. The last time the river reached 7 was in 1972. In accordance with the City of Chilliwack's Fraser River Flood Response Plan, ongoing daily dyke patrols are being conducted.
