VDBC would like to cordially invite all Companies, Groups and Organizations to participate in the 8th Annual Community Challenge Dragon Boat Regatta being held June 24th from 10:00am to 2:30pm (approximately) on beautiful Harrison Lake.

This one day event pits local businesses and organizations against each other for some good-hearted, friendly competition.

Each team will need: 20 enthusiastic employees (using family and friends is also encouraged).

All equipment is supplied: this includes paddles, lifejackets and a dragon boat of course.

Each team will receive: a steersperson, a caller and up to four coached practice sessions (based on team availability).

Each race is 200 meters in length and will typically last about 90 seconds. Your time may vary. Winner of this event will receive the prestigious Community Challenge Cup, have their team name engraved on the Cup and get to proudly show off the Cup at their place of business (or organization) for the year.

This event is great for team building, strengthening friendships and promoting a healthy lifestyle through physical activities.

Cost per team is $500 (payable at the first practice session). Challenge your competitors. Challenge other groups or organizations. Challenge yourself.

Past winners have included:
