Central Community Park party packs 'em in for third week

he dusty trail wound up at Young Rd. and Victoria Ave. with another wildly successful Party in the Park Friday. Over 3000 cow punchers were drawn to the park like horses are to oats and for those hungry enough to eat a saddle blanket there was plenty of grub to go around. The youngins were treated to a western skit feature put on by actors from the Chilliwack players Guild.

The stage lineup for the western-themed event included 10-year-old country singer Brennan "The Rock" Walker, Gary Gast (Senior Idol) and his 3-piece band, Gerald Charlie and the Black Owl Blues Band, White Moses and the Theory and dance band Head Over Heels.

This week's sponsor of Party in the Park was KPMG along with Coast Capital Savings, Safeway and Primetime. The community parties run every Friday throughout July wrapping up for the summer August 27.
