PCCN looks for assistance at Show Jan 24-26

Submitted by Dale Erikson, PCCN Chwk

s 2014 moves on we want to keep raising awareness about Prostate Cancer and the need to be tested regularly.

We have our first opportunity of of the year at the Chilliwack Home Expo, formerly the Home and Leisure show, that will be held at the Chilliwack Heritage Centre January 24-26, 2014. We will require quite a bit of help, which involves set up and take down of our PCCN tent, and of course manning the booth for the 2 days.

Unfortunately, I will be away during the show, both myself and Doris Trelenberg will be in Palm Springs. No, I didn't run off with the new treasurer! Doris and her husband just happen to have gone down there in December and we are going there next week. But fortunately, we have some very good help and our secretary, Sean Auguste has agreed to look after the show. So he will be looking for volunteers, the shifts are as follows:

Work Schedule

Friday 1:00 PM Set up tent and booth. This could likely be earlier, but Sean will let you know.
4:00 PM 6:00 PM  2-3 people
6:00 AM 9:00 PM  2-3 people

Saturday 10:00 AM 2:00 PM 2-3 people
2:00 PM 6:00 PM  2-3 people

Sunday 10:00 AM 1:00 PM 2-3 people
1:00 PM 4:00 PM 2-3 people The last shift will include tear-down after 4:15 PM

So we hope that several of you will find time to help Sean with the show.

By phoning or emailing him soon you will save him task of phoning you, and also the earlier that you phone the better chance that you have of getting the time slot(s) that is best for you. However, if you do volunteer and something comes up please be sure to let Sean know as soon as possible so he can find a replacement, to take the load of the other two volunteers.

Please call Sean at 604-858-7706 or his cell at 604 819 2175. Or you can email him here  Sean has to be away at a meeting from January 20 to 23rd so he is hoping to have the roster filled by then.

Thank you very much for your support and we will see you at our next meeting on Feb 6, 2014.
