am
excited to announce that Hiscoe Jiu-Jitsu is introducing an
exciting new self-defense program to residents of the Fraser
Valley. Hiscoe Jiu-Jitsu has specialized in teaching people to
protect themselves against unprovoked attacks for for the past
20 years.
On February 20th 2012 Hiscoe Jiu-Jitsu will be introducing a
10-week Self-Defense Academy for Adults. This is NOT a martial
arts program but rather a self-defense course structured much like
police academy training that ANYONE can attend. There are no martial
art uniforms or belts.
This course was designed by Steven Hiscoe, the Chief Instructor for
Hiscoe Jiu-Jitsu in Western Canada. Steven Hiscoe is an 8th degree
black belt in Can-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu and police officer with over 20
years experience. This course is based on his vast experience and
expertise accumulated over a time frame exceeding 35 years.
The course content includes theory on identifying potential
dangers, managing fear and how to deal with a variety of unprovoked
attacks.
The techniques, based on the Can-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu system are practical,
effective yet simple enough that anyone can learn them.
This program is open to anyone over the age 16. The classes will be
held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:00pm. The cost of
the program is $325 + HST
