Traffic was light in Chilliwack Monday as most people stayed off the roads.
Accidents continued to mount up throughout the morning. Just prior to noon a multi-vehicle accident was reported in the westbound lanes just east of Prest Rd. on Hwy. 1. More snow is on the way for Tuesday and Wednesday. According to Environment Canada, the temperature will be hovering around 3-4°C. Tuesday will see an abnormal temperature trend with a daytime high of -2°C and a low overnight of -1°C. Wednesday will be the coldest day this week with -7°C forecast. Predictions of wind also on Wednesday will mean the temperature will plummet down to about -20°C with the wind chill factor. Rain and/or flurries will round out the rest of the week.
