ust before noon Thursday, an older green Chevrolet pickup truck smashed into a late model Toyota Matrix and then fled the scene. The female driver of the car was treated by paramedics on the scene before being taken to Chilliwack General Hospital. It's not known what the extent of her injuries were.

 

Witnesses described the truck to police who had seen the vehicle circling the area for approximately half an hour.

 

The truck had segments of pipes in it and the impact bounced two-5 foot sections onto the street. Witnesses were unable to provide a plate number to police.
