Poor Weather Making Roads Risky Pedestrian struck in crosswalk on Spadina Staff/Voice photos
Chilliwack emergency crews respond to pedestrian-MVA on Tuesday.
It's unclear if the person was on a bicycle, but their injuries were not life-threatening. The victim was eventually taken to Chilliwack General Hospital. Bad road conditions may have played a part in the mishap.
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the Vancouver area. Chilliwack is only expecting about 5mm overnight, however Wednesday's forecast is for up to 15mm, at times very heavy, with winds gusting up to 30 km/h in the city and up to 80km/h in the Hope area.
It's a good idea to stock up on spare batteries, candles and other necessities if the power does go out.
