e wanted to let you know about our Ryder
Lake Kids Club and upcoming events organized by some new volunteers.
Jody Walley is spearheading this excellent initiative with the help of
Peter Whitlock, Ariel Eastman, Marla Pitcher and Melanie Reuter. We are
always looking for more help!
Our intention is for all the kids to get to know each other, and of
course for their parents and caregivers to socialize as well (nice try,
no dropping off kids and running to get some quiet time.) These events
are open to all ages - you can decide whether the activity is suited for
Unless otherwise stated, the events are free for Ryder Lake kids!
Here is a list of our upcoming planned
activities - mark it down!
Friday Feb. 17th 6 - 8pm (teen night cancelled due to low interest).
Better Late Than Never Valentine's Day Cupcake decorating; 3-D fox craft
or reasonable facsimile; Movie: Trolls. Bring your own pillows,
blankets, jammies and Adult sippy cups!
Friday March 10th - 6pm to 8pm
St. Patrick's Day Family Night! Shamrock cookie decorating; hot dogs,
water, veggies with green dip for the kids; Irish stew and soda bread
for parents (for a fee). Active game for kids and hanging out for the
parents. BYO Green beer!
Sunday April 16th 11am - around noon.
Easter Egg Hunt in the park. All ages!
Family Fire Night! Indulge your inner pyro with a tour of the Ryder Lake
- Fire Hall (to be arranged). Sitting in the fire engine is not just for
the moms! We will be having a campfire so bring your own chairs,
marshmallows and roasting sticks. We will have BBQ hot dogs that you can
roast if you choose.
We are also planning on the following future events:

• scavenger hunt
• kick the can
• capture the flag
