No Work in Working Out

Live Well in Abbotsford isn't your ordinary gym

LIVE WELL members are typically sedentary people who are inactive and haven't exercised in years, if ever. Most have one or more health conditions including chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity and heart disease, and some are with us for prevention. You can read more at: www.livewellclinic.ca

We think of ourselves as the "anti-gym."  At LIVE WELL, we focus on how you feel, not how you look. This isn't the place to lose weight as fast as possible or to learn to be a competitive athlete. At LIVE WELL you will fit in, feel comfortable and find exercise fun, social and inspiring.

At LIVE WELL, many of our members are referred to us by their family doctors, and we keep in regular touch with physicians to keep them up to date on our members' progress and any changes to their health.

We also closely monitor you before, during and after exercise by taking your pulse, doing blood pressure readings, or measuring your blood glucose levels if necessary. We know what exercises to avoid if you have high blood pressure, the best exercises for diabetics with foot neuropathy, and how to begin to exercise again after a heart attack, for example. You will not find this kind of of medical expertise, clinical supervision and individual attention at a regular gym.

Some of our members have been able to go off blood pressure medications, reduce their insulin and drop 50 lbs!

There's nothing like friends.

Our focus is healthy habit formation and making sustainable lifestyle changes.

Talk a look around inside the clinic online www.livewellclinic.ca, email Nancy here, or drop in at #300 - 1945 McCallum Rd., Abbotsford, BC.
