The Gingerbread House Contest has been running since the start of December and winds up Saturday when judges tally up the votes and pick the winners. The rules were that it couldn’t be too big and it had to be edible, even if it didn’t look it.
Folks are invited to visit the business centre and if possible make a cash donation or bring a non-perishable food item for the Salvation Army food bank and then cast a vote for the tastiest-looking creation.
The gingerbread village was created by various individuals and businesses in the community.
Prizes will be awarded for an assortment of categories including kids, teen, adults and businesses and a grand prize for the winning entry with the most cash donations.
