best Sunday in Langley.
n Sunday August 27th Thunderbird Show Park hosts the third annual Longines FEI Show Jumping Qualifier. The only event of its kind in British Columbia, the voted number two top equestrian facility in North America hosts top horses and riders from all over the world as they compete in the international series.
This free family event not only features horses jumping 1.50-1.60-metre-high obstacles, but includes local bands, food, pony rides, beer garden, and lots of stadium seating.
Show jumping is an exciting sport where horse and rider require exceptional skill and coordination. They must work together to clear difficult series of jumps all within an allotted time. Bring your family for this unique experience and enjoy this exciting rare event.
In the Longines World Cup Series riders compete in the events and accumulate points to qualify for a final competition. The high stakes create an amazing atmosphere of intense and exciting competition. This event is an opportunity to see Olympic level competition right here in the outskirts of Vancouver.
