he Cultus Lake Community Association is holding its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the Cultus Lake Community School gym.  Please mark your calendars and join us to receive updates from the speakers we have invited and to vote on two Community Association matters.

Joe Lamb will be speaking on behalf of the Park Board; Taryn Dixon will be speaking as our Area H Director. We have also invited Paul Gipps, CAO of the FVRD and Reg Dyck, Manager of Electoral Area Emergency Services.

Barring an emergency situation, Reg Dyck has promised to make every effort to attend. He will update us on our evacuation procedures and will be available to answer questions. If you would like to submit a question in advance, please e-mail here.

We will be having a panel, composed of Park Board representatives, a representative of the new security firm (the Commissionaires) and Cpl. Hamel of the RCMP Seasonal Policing force, to clarify the roles of the new Park Patrol and the RCMP.

There will be a short question and answer session so, in order that the panel can research the answers to your questions it would be appreciated if you could submit them to us prior to the meeting. If you would prefer to bring your question to the meeting, we will be accepting questions then.

We are very fortunate that these people are taking time from their weekend or their work schedules to meet with us and we thank them for this.

We will also be voting for new executive members. If you are interested in getting involved with the Community Association, please consider putting your name forward. There will be a vote on a Special Resolution to do with General Meetings.

We look forward to seeing you Saturday!
