Casting Call

Christmas Early

Actors and performers of all levels needed, August 24 auditions

Submitted by Megan Mackenzie, Exec. Artistic Director

heatre Junkies Anonymous Fine Arts is holding auditions for their Christmas production of The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry, adapted by Anne Coulter Martens, on Saturday August 24th starting at 1pm.

Actors and performers of all experience levels and backgrounds are invited to come to audition for this classic Christmas story.

The Gift of the Magi is being directed by local actor Thomas Smith, who last appeared on stage with the company as Captain Smollett in Treasure Island.  The Gift of the Magi is a touching drama surrounding a young couple who cannot afford to buy one another presents on their first Christmas together.

In our current world where everyone is attached to their smartphones, and money is such a relevant aspect in our lives, its refreshing to see a story like this one, and be reminded that material possessions are inconsequential, says Smith, The Gift of the Magi teaches us to keep our loved ones our top priority.

Theatre Junkies Anonymous is looking to cast 7 actors: 4 females and 3 males.  All actors over the age of 13 years old are welcome to audition.  Performances will be at the Canada Education Park Studio Theatre from December 18 - 21st, 2013.

Please visit out website at www.theatrejunkiesanonymous.com  to sign up for an audition.
