Ringling Brothers would have been proud. Last Friday there were plenty of
clowns and acrobats on hand for Party in the Park.
Approximately 4500 folks ran away to join the circus on what organizers said was the twenty-third consecutive rain-free event.
Each Friday night in July and August, the Downtown BIA organizes eight themed mini music festivals at Central Community Park with a lineup of local talent on the Star 98.3 Entertainment Stage. Last week the Goddess Movement brought in their acrobats who kept the audience mesmerized.
There's also the Royal Lepage Night Market with over 70 vendors selling everything from tacos to tee-shirts on Victoria Ave. and Mill St. Additionally, Safeway and Prime Signs sponsor the great Kids Zone and of course there's always Party Perks prizes for downtown shoppers who enter to win at the Star 98.3 kiosk.
Entertainment Schedule
Capella Dance, Mexican Band, Goddess Movement, Rags to Radio, Tractorgrease Folk, Cam Latimer Band and the Chill Billies
This Friday the theme is Tropical Paradise Night.
