Fire Damages Vacant Home

Arson suspected

t 8:05 am this morning, firefighters from Chilliwack fire halls 1, 2 and 4 responded to a structure fire in the 7200 block of Gibson Road.

 

When firefighters arrived they found heavy black smoke showing from a vacant, single storey family residential house.

 

Firefighters entered the house and extinguished the fire but not before the house was extensively damaged by fire and smoke.

 

There were no firefighter injuries.

 

This fire is believed to be deliberately set and is under investigation by Chilliwack Fire Department and RCMP fire investigators.
